We are having some fun at The Garden Cartoon before summer is over. But we are also prepping for school to start by learning about responsibility. In our activity video today, creator Butch Hartman and some young artists are making masterpieces, just like 14th Century Lenny made a Mona Lucy masterpiece.
You will find loads of material designed for parents and littles to dig deeper into the August episode of Lots of Lennys included in the FREE downloadable lesson plans. You can use the fun tools our team provides to help you teach the Word to your littles in a way they will remember. There are also group activities too!
The lesson for Lots of Lennys this month includes:
- Instructions for a group
- Lenny and Lucy’s Joke Corner (funny, punny jokes)
- Lesson Notes
- Snack Time Recipe (Lionarda Da Vinci Mini Pepperoni Pizzas)
- Discussion Points
- Scripture Memory (Romans 8:28)
- Craft Activity (Mona Lucy Self-Portrait Masterpieces)
- Game Challenge (Lots of Lenny’s Giddyup Tag)
- Guided Prayer
Take a minute to download and subscribe to The Garden Cartoon App, where you have access to all the current episodes, the corresponding lessons, exclusive offers, plus one new episode each month. Find Lenny and Lucy today in the App Store or on Google Play! Buttons?
Our discussion points section is designed to get your littles talking about what they are learning. We know how important it is to hear your child’s heart and to know they are understanding what they see and hear. This is what our discussion time looks like:
Engage with your Garden Buddies by asking questions about the lesson and the truth that God wants us to learn.
- Get into a circle or gather around tables.
- Group questions can be asked to Garden Group (Entire Table) or Garden Buddy (Buddies pair up in groups of 2 and share answers with each other)
Questions:
- What was your favorite part of today’s episode?
- What does it mean to be responsible?
- How was Lenny irresponsible?
- What did Lucy do when he was irresponsible?
- Is there a time that you can remember that you have been responsible?
- How did it make you feel?
- Is there a time that you can remember that you were irresponsible?
- What happened?
- How does God treat us when we are irresponsible and make mistakes?
- What does the verse “God will never leave us or forsake us” mean?
